New Social Investment Agency Chief Executive welcomed

SIA staff welcomed Brendan Boyle through a whakatau, marking the start of his role as Acting Secretary for Social Investment and Chief Executive of the Social Investment Agency Toi Hau Tāngata.

Brendan is a senior public sector leader with extensive experience across policy, regulation, governance, digital technology, and the delivery of services in large and complex organisations. He has held Chief Executive roles at the Ministry of Social Development, the Department of Internal Affairs, and Land Information New Zealand, and most recently served as Acting Chief Executive of Pharmac.

Across his career, Brendan has led significant system and service reform, with a strong focus on using evidence, data and operational insight to improve outcomes for New Zealanders. His leadership brings continuity, experience and a delivery focus to the Social Investment Agency as it continues to build momentum and impact across the social sector.

We look forward to continuing to build impact and improve outcomes for New Zealanders under Brendan’s leadership.

SIA would like to acknowledge Alistair Mason for his leadership over the last six months. His steady and considered stewardship has been highly valued by staff, Ministers and partners across the system.
